چکیده

An analysis of a Plane Cover Multiple Access cellular system in the presence of non-uniform traffic is presented. PCMA seeks to maximize the number of parallel transmissions among cells by defining virtual cells in which users transmit using different reuse factors. It is demonstrated how PCMA is novel in its ability to more efficiently service users in a system with non-uniform traffic load among cells and to adapt in realtime to changes in traffic distribution. After formally stating the optimal coverage problem, a greedy algorithm is presented and used to improve substantially over PCMA with simple, uniform resource allocation.

Optimal scheduling in cdma packet radio networks

We consider the time slot assignment problem in a CDMA packet radio network. Unlike the classical TDMA packet radio networks, a CDMA packet radio network can provide each node with a multiple reception capacity using orthogonal codes. This multiple reception capacity of each node presents a new challenge for channel access protocols. Also we consider non-uniform traffic demand over nodes which ...

New High Secure Network Steganography Method Based on Packet Length

In network steganography methods based on packet length, the length of the packets is used as a carrier for exchanging secret messages. Existing methods in this area are vulnerable against detections due to abnormal network traffic behaviors. The main goal of this paper is to propose a method which has great resistance to network traffic detections. In the first proposed method, the sender embe...

Feature Extraction to Identify Network Traffic with Considering Packet Loss Effects

There are huge petitions of network traffic coming from various applications on Internet. In dealing with this volume of network traffic, network management plays a crucial rule. Traffic classification is a basic technique which is used by Internet service providers (ISP) to manage network resources and to guarantee Internet security. In addition, growing bandwidth usage, at one hand, and limit...

Packet Scheduling in WDM Ring Networks with Non-uniform Traffic Demands and Arbitrary Transceiver Tuning Latencies

This paper considers the scheduling problem of packet transmissions in a TDM/WDM unidirectional optical ring network. Our objective is to design a scheduling scheme for packet transmission with minimum scheduling length satisfying a set of traffic requirements. We focus on a fairly general case in that non-uniform traffic demands and arbitrary transmitter tuning latencies are allowed. Since the...

One Directional Real-Time Traffic Flows over the GPRS Air Interface

Packet-switched non real-time data transmissions have increased a lot in the fixed network. Circuit-switched based cellular transmission techno logy Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) is already in the service for more than a decade. A packet based transmission system called General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) is developed for non real-time packet data transmission system by the evo...
